# Revoke a Red Envelope

Red Envelopes expire after 24 hours. Sometimes there are Runes left in them that were not SNATCHED. The Sender can return those Runes to the sending RE Wallet with the Revoke command.

## How to Revoke a Red Envelope <a href="#id-22fb" id="id-22fb"></a>

Red Envelopes are live for snatching for 24 hours, then they expire and no one can SNATCH.

If you sent a Red Envelope that expired before all the Runes were SNATCHED, you can revoke the remaining Runes back to your RE Wallet.

First, let’s pull up a list of Red Envelopes again.

Type <mark style="color:red;">**/list**</mark>

<figure><img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:348/0*kX1VRW4a6qpGDt9P" alt="" height="166" width="348"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

We can see that **RE 330** is expired and **4666.69** Runes remain unclaimed! *Let's get those Runes back!*

Type: <mark style="color:red;">**/revoke 330**</mark>&#x20;

Now these **4666.69** Runes will return to the sending **RE Wallet**.

Let’s check our list again.

Type: <mark style="color:red;">**/list**</mark>

Awesome, the Runes were **Revoked** to the wallet.

If you want to see them back in your wallet, just type:

&#x20;<mark style="color:red;">**/wallet**</mark>&#x20;

And you will see your wallet balance.&#x20;

Let's explore your **RE Wallet** functions next.
